the quinta is full of history and character, and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. the presence of animals on or around the grounds was a real bonus for our children. the breakfast, served at a huge dining table in the main house, was a treat. the quinta has a very rural feel and we were treated like guests in a family home. the original furniture and furnishings add to the charm, and the host was very welcoming and provided valuable advice on places to visit in Portugal.
Nothing to dislike. 😊

This was an old farm that had been lovingly renovated but retaining all its charm. It was peaceful and quiet and very comfortable.

I had been wanting to visit the Castle of Ourem for a long time, so I chose to stay at Quinta Da Alcaidaria Mor Villa solely for its convenient location. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the genuine warm welcome and the excellent disabled facilities with wheelchair access to the hotel, reception, and bar areas. The on-site bar and all-day meals were also a great feature.
No fridge for storing items.

The rooms at Quinta Da Alcaidaria Mor are cozy and inviting, with an appealing English country look that made us feel right at home. We loved the shuttered windows dressed with curtains, giving the rooms a charming touch.
Personally, I would have preferred if the rooms had more natural light.

The hotel's location is extraordinary, offering a perfect blend of historical and natural attractions. During my stay, I felt like I was living in a fairytale, exploring medieval castles and picturesque villages like characters in a storybook.
Indications to arrive need improvement.

The value for money at this hotel was exceptional, and the room itself was perfect - clean, comfortable, and spacious. The location was convenient, with a short drive to the Fatima sanctuary, and the staff treated us with utmost kindness and helpfulness throughout our stay.
The breakfast menu could have offered more vegetarian options.
